Bird flu prevention in Missouri is in the hands of an industry interest group. David Schneider has more from Jefferson City.

Missouri's state veterinarian says he's going to leave the health of Missourians in the hands of the chicken industry. State vet Shane Brookshire isn't pushing for any more preventative measures at this point, but acknowledges the development of the deadly disease overseas.
