Toll booths face opposition in Senate.

Some state legislators say they want to add toll booths to Missouri roads. Lindsay Shively has the story.

Legislation that would authorize toll booths came before the senate transportaion committee tuesday. The chairman of the committee, Republican Jon Dolan from St. Charles County, says voters may reject toll roads.

Contents: Tolls may "doom" other revenue. We will explore them but they aren't coming this year.

Dolan says lawmakers need to focus on the reform of highway spending before worrying about adding revenue. Supporters say toll roads are a good idea because those who use the roads will be the ones paying for them. From the State Capitol, I'm Lindsay Shively.
