A gap in the new federal law providing prescription drug coverage for the elderly would be covered under a bi-partisan bill unveiled in Missouri's legislature. Erin Israel tells us more.
Republican Senate president pro Tem Peter Kinder and Senate Democratic Leader Ken Jacob introduced a bill that will cover prescription costs for seniors not covered by the federal Medicare Act.
Kinder says the bill will put Missouri ahead of other states in prescription assistance for seniors.
Kinder says Missouri would be the first state in the nation to close the gap in the federal program.
Kinder and Jacob say they expect the bill will gain bipartisan spport and pass to the Governor's desk for signature.
From the state capitol, I'm Erin Israel.
