Missouri Capital police are taking extra precautions after Monday's shooting of an Illinois Capital security officer. David Ferrucci reports from Jefferson City.

Anyone attempting to enter the Missouri State Capital with a loaded fire arm better beware. Capital police have something Illinois capital security don't have--a loaded Glock.

Dan Hoerschgen has been with the state capital police for 24 years.

FILL: If somebody came in here to the Missouri State capital building with a firearm they're likely to meet, force will likely be met with force. We will respond to it appropriately.

Hoerschgen said because of concerns from people in the building capital police have stepped up their presence.
