Residents call it Party Cove II -- and they're not happy about it. More than 130 owners of Evergreen Condominums asked the state to block boats from anchoring in the cove off their property.

But the State Water Patrol denied the request saying that it would not solve the problem, only move it.

IT'S A PROBLEM WAITING TO HAPPEN AND WE ARE GOING TO HAVE MORE ISSUES DEALING WITH THIS. IT'S NOT GOING TO GO AWAY. SOMEBODY'S GOING TO GET HURT AND IT'S UNFORTUNATE WE HAVE TO WAIT UNTIL THERE'S A SERIOUS PROBLEM, SOMEBODY GETS HURT OF WORSE SOMEONE IS KILLED.

Although the traffic has caused thousands of dollars in property damage, Neil says their main concern is safety.

But the Water Patrol says the cove is too big for the restrictions.

Missouri's Water Patrol has rejected a request to shutdown an offspring of the Lake of the Ozark's famous Party Cove.

Megan Clarke has the story.

Known of it's x-rated behavior and topless women, what residents call Party Cove II will not have to move.

In an effort to force the boats to move, about 130 residents of Evergreen Condominium's requested their cove be a no-anchor area.

The Water Patrol denied the request saying the 2-mile cove is too big to restrict.

President of Evergreen Condominium's Jed Neil:

I UNDERSTAND THEIR POSITION BECAUSE THEY'RE TRYING TO FORCE SOME REGULATIONS BUT AS I SAID I THINK AND WE'VE SAID REPEATEDLY I THINK IT'S A PROBLEM WAITING TO HAPPEN.

At the hearing, the Water Patrol said that the Lake is a public water way and the no anchoring area would only move the problem, not solve it.
