The fillibuster over the SMSU name change continues in the Missouri Senate. Almitra Smith has the story.
For four days Sen. Ken Jacob's fillibuster has deadlocked the Missouri legislature.
The fight comes over the proposed name change of Southwest Missouri State University to Missouri State University.
Jacob warns that the change could harm MU's funding by elevating SMSU to statewide university status. He proposed an amendment to prevent it.
This is not Jacob's first fillibuster. Last year he fillibustered in a failed attempt to block concealed weapons. From the state Capitol, I'm Almitra Smith.
