Maxwell applauds Illinois' drug assistance

As Illinois moves forward with its prescription drug plan, one Missouri politician wants his state to join the drug importation party. Bente Birkeland reports.

With Illinois now directly helping residents buy prescription drug from Canada, Ireland, and the UK...Missouri Lieutenant Governor Joe Maxwell wants Missouri to follow suit

He blames Republican leaders and drug company lobbyists for a lack of progress.

Not everyone's a fan of importing drugs...the Food and Drug Administration says they can't guarantee the safety of imported drugs.
