Senate passes bill prohibiting adult billboards

The Senate approved a bill Thursday that prohibits sexually-oriented billboards within one mile of the highway. Lindsay Shively has the story.

The billboards for porn shops and strip clubs that line Interstate-70 were the focus of the bill the Senate approved and sent to the House Thursday. Columbia Senator Ken Jacob says he finds the I-70 advertisements obtrusive.

Contents: They muck up our highways. It's not just the message, there are too many signs.

The bill does allow businesses to have two sings outside their establishments. The bill now moves to the House on Monday. From the State Capitol, I'm Lindsay Shively.
