Contents: From what we have heard from our election authorities that absentee ballots are up this year, compared to previous years.

By 3 o'clock Thursday, Cole county had received 2,434 ballots. In 2000, they got a total of 2700 absentee ballots.

In Boone county, 3445 cards have been delivered for absentee voting, compared with only 1183 ballots in the last presidential election.
