Missouri lawmakers have sent the governor concealed weapons legislation.
Missy Shelton reports.
What's been dubbed the packing pistols bill has the support of both the House and Senate and is on its way to the governor's desk.
The final vote on the measure came in the House earlier this week where Curt Dougherty, a Jackson County democrat argued the bill will provide for safer gun storage in trucks and cars.
Four years ago, Missouri voters rejected concealed weapons.
Republican Representative Chuck Portwood says things have changed since that public vote.
But that argument doesn't convince urban lawmakers, many of whom oppose concealed weapons.
St Louis Democrat Tom Villa says more guns will mean more deaths.
Democratic governor Bob Holden has said he'll veto the bill.
