Concealed weapons injunction raises questions about judge shopping

The injunction on Missouri's concealed weapons law raises new questions about judge shopping. Christine McCarty has the story.

Some state officials say they wonder if the plaintiffs filed suit in St. Louis City so that they could get a sympathetic judge. Normally, suits filed against the state are tried in Cole County, where the state Capitol is located. Rep. Larry Crawford says that judge shopping could cause bad long-term effects.

But not everyone agrees with Crawford. Scott Holste, spokesman for the Attorney General, says that the best venue for trying cases against the state will remain in Cole County. From the state Capitol, I'm Christine McCarty.
