Gov. Bob Holden appointed Steve Gaw as chairman of the Public Service Commission Monday.
The PSC is responsible for setting utility prices.
Gaw says one challenge facing the committee is keeping rates low in the future.
Gaw says he also wants to increase the commission's focus on feedback from Missourians.

Gov. Bob Holden appointed Steve Gaw as chairman of the Public Service Commission Monday.
Gaw says one challenge for the commission is helping lawmakers keep utility prices low.
Gaw says the commission will try to increase its communication with Missourians.
He also says the PSC will increase its focus on feedback from citizens.
