Cities trying to ban concealed guns in local government buildings

The organization representing Missouri's cities is drafting an ordinance to help keep concealed guns out of local government buildings. Megan Clarke explains.

The concealed weapons law prohibits citizens from carrying hidden guns into police stations, but does not cover other city buildings.

The Missouri Municipal League is creating a model ordinance for cities that want to keep guns out of city hall and other municipal buildings. The organization's deputy director is Bill Johnson:

The bill's sponsor Republican Representative Larry Crawford says he is not suprised that cities are trying to ban guns in local government buildings.
