The bill would require women to see a doctor and then wait at least twenty-four hours before recieving an abortion. It's been harshely criticized by abortion-rights supporters and vetoed by the governor.

But with the support of several Democratic senators key GOP lawmakers say they're confident they can muster the votes to overide the veto.

Senate Minority Leader Ken Jacob says he'll filibuster the bill if necessary to stop it from becoming law . . . but it won't be easy

Republicans say they'll try to end the filibuster . . . but to do that they'll need the support of democratic lawmakers . . . and even Democrats who support the bill may not want to step on their own party leadership by ending the filibuster.
