After months of speculation, reports are circulating that Claire McCaskill will officially announce whether she will challenge Gob. Bob Holden for the democratic gubernatorial nomination next week. Zack Ottenstein has the story.
Claire McCaskill has previously said she will announce whether she intends to challenge Gov. Holden in mid-October.
But, now that mid-October has arrived, McCaskill's camp will not go on record about when she will make her announcement.
However, reports say next week McCaskill will announce her intentions.
Recently, McCaskill had an important victory in St. Louis, when Anheuser-Busch announced they would not be supporting Holden's re-election campaign.
McCaskill declared the largest corporate donor to Missouri political parties is supporting her instead.
And, after several months of fund-raising and the acquisation of a campaign team, the state awaits McCaskill's announcement.
From the state Capitol, I'm Zack Ottenstein.
