Returning to Columbia after a summer internship covering homeland security for Congressional Quarterly, Amy now works as a research assistant for Investigative Reporters & Editors, based at the University of Missouri. She plans to do her final Masters project in the spring of 2003 in the area of investigative reporting.
A native of Macon, Ga., Amy holds a bachelor's degree in journalism from Samford University in Birmingham, Ala., where she minored in religion and psychology. If she had a few more lives, she would pursue neuroscience and musical theatre. At present, her interests include photography, travel and shooting.
