Embattled Transportation Director Henry Hungerbeeler says he wants to stay on the job. Elizabeth Gill has the story in Jefferson City:
Amid a crumbling state highway system and speculation that his job is in jepoardy, Hungerbeeler responds to rumors that the transportation commission is pushing him out:
Hungerbeeler says MoDot has much unfinished business and he doesn't plan to leave until its done. He talked specifically about plans to repair I-70 and open projects statewide. He says until funds are available to make improvements, MoDot will focus on environmental testing so they will be ready when and if funds become available. From the State Capitol, I'm Elizabeth Gill.
