The American Cancer Society testified to the Children, Health and Families committee today in favor of having insurance companies pay for a second opinion for cancer patients. Ashley Hall has more in Jefferson City.
Some lawmakers are questioning whether or not insurance companies should have to pay for cancer patients to receive second opinions.
American Cancer Society Representative, Lynn Schlosser, says yes.
The bill was heard in the children, families, and health committee yesterday, but has not been voted on yet. SOC
