Notes

  1. Formatting: Checking the Printer-friendly version box will display the results in a format that works better with printers.
  2. Get results from: This option is available only for the last election. It allows you to decide which of two locations you can access to get data for the results you want displayed. All the election result data ultimately comes from the Secretary of State's (SOS) WWW service. This option just lets you pick from where that data is retrieved -- directly from the Secretary of State's WWW service, or a copy of that information stored at MDN.
  3. Minutes to update: If you enter a number here, a javascript applet will be added to your page that will cause your broswer to automatically retrieve new election-return data after the number of minutes you have entered have expired. This is a nifty way to assure you always have the latest returns loaded on your computer, without having to do a reload and wait for the data.
Note: Some browsers have a bug in their javascript implementation that causes a javascript error to be displayed after a few page reloads. If this happens, it's not a major problem. Just clear our the error message and do a manual reload. And you ought to consider upgrading your bowser.
Also Note: This feature is implemented only for a current election. It is disabled for past elections, since there is no need for regularly updating your brower's information.
