A day after Veteran's Day, Governor Bob Holden awards honorary high school diplomas to three Missouri veterans.
It's all part of a new program approved by the state legislature called Operation Recognition.
It gives those who dropped out of a school to serve in the armed forces a chance to get their diploma.
The governor spoke at the ceremony in the Capitol Rotunda on Monday.
The diplomas are issued by the Department of Elementary and Secondary Education.
Already some 150 veterans have applied and qualified in Missouri.
