Toll roads in St. Louis county? Well, one area state senator is pushing just that idea in front of the Senate Transportation Committee. Kyle Elfrink has more from Jefferson City.
Senator John Loudon says in 2003, the St. Louis area will have their budget for road improvement slashed in half. And with road priorities for the next several years being set by commissioners, there's a chance some roads could be overlooked. Loudon's solution - toll roads ...
Loudon's bill only allows toll roads that pay for new roads or bridges in communities.
