The last new senator has been sworn in...officially transferring power of the state Senate to Republicans.

Minutes after Cauthorn was sworn into the 18th district Senate seat, Senator Peter Kinder was officially approved as new Senate President Pro Tem.

Kinder says he's happy to be President Pro Tem, but he says there's a lot of work to get done this session.
