State Capital Bureau This is Rachel Busacker for Missouri Capital Caucus.

Spence Jackson, the Director of Communications for Secretary of State Matt Blunt, says things are running smoothly while Blunt is away on naval duty.

Jackson says Blunt is currently overseas but not in the Middle East.

Despite the distance, Jackson says communication with Blunt has been regular.
