Parents, students, teachers and lawmakers are speaking out in favor of a bill that would allow students to use scholarship money for the school of their choice. Jenny Hoff has more from Jefferson City.
A proposed Senate bill would change the current regulations for the A+ scholarship program, which currently allows students only to use their money for a community college and then go on to a 4-year University.
Senator Chuck Gross says it's unfair that students who earn the A+ scholarship and want to go directly to a 4-year University are unable to use it.
Gross said students who earn good grades and do community service to qualify for the scholarship deserve the right to choose what type of college they want to attend. From Jefferson City, this is Jenny Hoff...KMOX.
