The state of Missouri spends millions on renovating the capitol while Governor Holden announces that over $185 million dollars will be withheld from state departments.

Kellie Jean Applen has the story from Jefferson City...

A Missouri Senate Administrator says the state will spend almost two million dollars to remodel the Senate Chamber.

The renovation is part of a multi million dollar project to spruce up the entire State Capitol.

Senate Pro Tem Peter Kinder says he doesn't think Missourians will disapprove of their tax dollars being spent on the improvements.
