Missouri Governor Bob Holden says he is still evaluating how to use the National Guard to protect the state's commercial airports.
Governor Holden has pledged his support to the plan proposed by President Bush and says that even though he doesn't know all the details yet, the Missouri National Guard is ready.
The Governor's office says necessary training would delay any airport deployment until next week.
The Guard members FAA training in airport security techniques includes passenger and baggage screening, conflict management, and the handling of deadly materials.
