Election reforms discussed in Senate committee

Election reform looks to be an important issue in the next legislative session. An interim committee on election reform met to hear testimony form Missourians.Fradulent voting and early voting may be hot topics according to chairwoman, Senator Anita Yeckel.

Representative Beth Long of Lebanon suggests one way to keep fradulent voters at bay:

Contents: Long says that sending out sample ballots may alert election officials to potential voter fraud.

Along with Long's recommendations, the committee also heard ways to incorporate college students into voting. They also heard recommendations to change the current plurality voting system to a run-off system.
