A St. Louis representative told the House Civil Justice committee that its time to revise sexist language in marriage and property laws. Jenny Hoff has more from Jefferson City.
Representative Cindy Ostmann presented a bill that would make the language in property and marriage laws gender neutral.
She says the laws that were created hundreds of years ago has language that has not kept up with the times.
Ostmann says the laws' wording takes away from womens' rights. From Jefferson City, this is Jenny Hoff for KMOX.
