Missouri State Highway patrol officers are asking legislators for an increase in salaries to remain competitive with other law enforcement agaencies.
Missouri State Troopers Association held a breakfast for lawmakers to discuss the issue of a pay raise. The troopers association president Corporal Tim Tinnin says the highway patrol is loosing State troopers because of low salaries.
Tinnin says the organization has worked to educate lawmakers as to what the Highway patrol needs to work effectively.
