Mid-Missouri architects and designers are putting their skills to good use, with food.
In the fourth annual event sponsored by the Society of Design Administration different local groups designed displays using canned goods in the national competition.
Kim Trabue chairwoman of canstruction says the national competition is like a national community service project
The State Captial is lined with canned good displays. In Central Missouri's fourth annual Society of Design Administration competition, local architect and design firms compete in a contest using an unconventional tool- canned food.
The displays average between $1200 and $1500. The food will be donated to the Central Missouri food bank.
Kim Trabue chairwoman of canstruction says the target date for the displays is November because the food is then donated to food banks in time for the holdiay season.
