By a unanimous vote, the Missouri Senate's Rules Committee has voted to reject a proposed pay increase for Missouri government officials. Phill Brooks has that story from Jefferson City:

The committee voted eight-to-one against the pay plan for state elected officials, judges and legislatures.

The resolution against the pay increase was sponsored by southwest Missouri Republican Peter Kinder:
