By a unanimous vote, the Missouri Senate's Rules Committee has voted to reject a proposed pay increase for Missouri government officials. Phill Brooks has that story from Jefferson City:
The committee voted eight-to-one against the pay plan for state elected officials, judges and legislatures.
The resolution against the pay increase was sponsored by southwest Missouri Republican Peter Kinder:
Kinder's proposal now awaits debate by the full Senate.
