Missouri Republicans want to ban human cloning

You can clone sheep in Missouri but you may not be able to clone your next door neighbor...Michelle Wirth has more from Jefferson City.

A bill in the Missouri House would make cloning illegal. Violators could face up to twenty years in prison. Representative Carl Bearden says that humans shouldn't play God when it comes to cloning.

Bearden says that he is not aware of any human cloning experiments in Missouri. From Jefferson City, I'm Michelle Wirth.

First sheep were cloned, then mice, but not humans...at least not in Missouri. Michelle Wirth has more from Jefferson City.

Missouri Republicans want to make human cloning illegal in the state of Missouri. They introduced a bill banning human cloning. Minority Caucus Chairman, Blaine Luetkemyer, says that the scientific community should not be allowed to clone human-beings.

If the bill passes, violators could face up to twenty years in prison.
