Missouri lawmakers consider legislation that would tighten regulations for managed care.

A massive managed care reform bill recently went before the House Critical Issues Committee.

Unlike similar bills in previous years, this legislation has a number of Republican co-sponsors.

Among other things, this bills allows women to have direct access to obstetricians and gynecologists.

Democratic Representative Tim Harlan is the chief sponsor of the bill.
