90 years ago Missouri created a commission to oversee the construction of the state capitol. Now, it could soon see the reincarnation of that commission. Seth Bachelier has more from Jefferson City...
St. Louis Senator Wayne Goode says the commission would consist of five members of the general assembly and six Governor appointees.
And Goode says having citizens on the commission is important.
The commission would recommend ideas for restoring and preserving the Capitol.
Goode also says the commission would attempt to follow through with the Capitol's original construction plans, which fell short on funding.
He says the bill has yet to meet any opposition.
From Jefferson City, I'm Seth Bachelier.
