If Missourians do not want to be bothered by telemarketing calls, it takes less than a minute to register with the Attorney General's office.

Missourians can log on to www.moago.org or call 1-866-NOCALL1 to add their name to the list.

Contents: Missourians have responded well to the list. They are real good about calling to complain when telemarketers bother them.

Missouri has taken legal action against 50 businesses.

This has resulted in $430,000 that goes to further protect consumers.

The No-Call list has exemptions for some businesses, such as telephone companies, insurance companies and banks.

The Attorney General is working to close those loopholes.

From the State Capitol, this is Julie Kroenig for KMOX News.
