A resolution to pass school bonds by a simple majority is one step closer to law. Seth Bachelier has the story from Jefferson City...
Right now, it takes a 4/7 majority to pass school bonds.
But, a resolution to pass them by a simple majority has made it through the education committee in the House of Representatives.
It wasn't without opposition though.
St. Louis Representative David Levin says his constituents don't want a simple majority.
Lee's Summit Representative Matt Bartle says we should at least send it to the voters.
But before it gets to the voters, it will have to go through the House and Senate.
From Jefferson City, I'm Seth Bachelier.
