Secretary of State Matt Blunt leaves for duty in the navy but Executive Deputy Secretary of State Dan Ross will be action in his place.

This is Sharra Klug reporting for Missouri Capital Caucus.

Secretary of State Matt Blunt will be leaving on October 9th to report for duty in the Navy but he is not leaving his office without a commander.

Blunt does not know how long he will be on duty with the Navy but he says that his office will continue its work.

Executive Deputy Secratary of State Dan Ross will be acting in Blunt's place until his return from duty.
