The Senate passed a resolution to issue bonds for up to 35 million dollars for the construction of a new arena at the University of Missouri-Columbia.

The bill stalled for a bit after St. Louis County Senator Wayne Goode tried to add an amendment to put the bonds through capital improvements.

Senator David Klarich, also from St. Louis County, disagreed with the amendment...saying they should not overlook the 25 million dollar anonymous donation.

The bonds must be issued by 2005.

The governor says he still has not decided whether he will sign the bill.
