Secretary of State Matt Blunt is asking for five million dollars to help local election boards update voting equipment.
The request for five million dollars is part of a larger list of 26 legislative recommendations from a bipartisan election commission. The commission also recommends touch-screen computer balloting and elmination of so-called "butterfly punch ballots."
