House and Senate democrats are taking a page from Congressman Jim Talent's plan to finance road repair.
They want to issue bonds.
Talent, the likely Republican candidate for governor wants to issue up to 10 billion dollars in bonds but democrats say it should be 2 billion dollars.
House Speaker Pro Temp Jim Kreider says Talent's plan could compromise the state's bond rating.
Steve Ehlmann, the top Republican in the Senate says he's pleased to see both parties agree bonds can finance road repair.
