Only 8 people showed up at the Statehouse for the NAACP's rally today/Monday to demand the U.S. Department of Justice step into the Florida election process.
Rodger Oakes has more from Jefferson City.
Led by Missouri NAACP President Mary Ratliff, only eight members of the Association protested the Florida election results on the steps of the Capitol. Ratliff said the peace of the country is at stake.
Ratliff said the NAACP has teamed up with clergy to gather petitions to send to the Justice Department. No clergy were present at the gathering.
Jefferson City NAACP representatives were also absent, while attending a funeral.
From Jefferson City, I'm Rodger Oakes.
