A Missouri House bill to construct a memorial for workers killed on the job went before a House Committee hearing Tuesday. Erin Guyer has more from Jefferson City.
Representative Jack Hickey is sponsoring the legislation. The Bridgeton respresentative wants the memorial built on Capitol grounds, with funding coming from private donations and charities.
The measure is aimed at bringing recognition to those who have died while providing construction services to the state of Missouri.

Legislation sponsor Representative Jack Hickey wants the memorial to be built on capitol grounds as a tribute to Missouri's workers who have lost their lives in state construction.
