Senate leader says time is right to reduce House membership

The President Pro Tem of the Missouri Senate says the House needs to cut back its membership.

Democratic Senator Ed Quick says now is the time for cuts in the House because term limits are about to change the membership anyway.

Quick says four million dollars a year would be saved if the House were almost sixty members lighter.

But Senate Republican Leader Steve Elhmann says there are more important issues to consider than Quick's bill.
