The Children's Trust Fund has collected more than 30-thousand dollars since Governor Mel Carnahan's death.
Osamu Fujimaru has more from Jefferson City.
Executive Director Bill Heberle says about 500 people have donated to the trust fund as a memorial to Governor Carnahan.
Heberle says the outpouring of contributions shows the respect people pay to the late governor.
The trust fund will spend the money to protect children.
Carnahan was continually eulogized for his work for children and education.
From Jefferson City, I'm Osamu Fujimaru.
