St. Charles County one step closer to getting convention center

St. Charles County is one step closer to obtaining a convention center after the state senate cut the project a major tax break.

The senate approved a tax cut that will delay the project's property tax and allow it to be built on property the county couldn't normally afford.

The tax cut proposal will now go the House for final approval.
