Governor Roger Wilson signs all documents to pave the way for Jean Carnahan's appointment to U.S. Senate.

Governor Roger Wilson signed a certificate of appointment to allow for Jean Carnahan to take to her deceased husband's U.S. Senate seat.

He says that he wanted to make sure all documents were signed in time for Carnahan to attend freshman orientation.

Contents: Governor Roger Wilson says that he has never been more comfortable with any decision he has made in his political career than appointing Jean Carnahan to the U.S. Senate.

Wilson signed the certificate less than an hour after the results of the Missouri elections were certified by the Secretary of State.
