Governor Roger Wilson signs all documents to pave the way for Jean Carnahan's appointment to U.S. Senate.
Cara Karunaratne has more from Jefferson City.
Governor Roger Wilson signed a certificate of appointment to allow for Jean Carnahan to take to her deceased husband's U.S. Senate seat.
He says that he wanted to make sure all documents were signed in time for Carnahan to attend freshman orientation.
Wilson signed the certificate less than an hour after the results of the Missouri elections were certified by the Secretary of State.
From Jefferson City, I'm Cara Karunaratne.
