Republican US Senator Kit Bond led a victory party in Jefferson City for supporters of George W. Bush.

After Bush's commanding victory in the Missouri primary an enthusiastic Bond expressed his satisfaction with the campaign.

Bond says that the Bush campaign can now begin to direct its attention away from John McCain and toward the Democratic front runner Al Gore.
