Missouri Election Results
From the Secretary of State's Office
Notes
Formatting: Checking the Printer-friendly version box will display the results in a format that works better with printers.
Get results from: This option is available only for the last election. It allows you to decide which of two locations you can access to get data for the results you want displayed. All the election result data ultimately comes from the Secretary of State's (SOS) WWW service. This option just lets you pick from where that data is retrieved -- directly from the Secretary of State's WWW service, or a copy of that information stored at MDN.
Secretary of State: MDN will forward your request for data to the SOS server. In some case (such as a request for several legislative races), it may require the MDN server to make several different calls to the SOS server. When all the data you have requested is retrieved from the SOS server, it will be formatted and sent to you onto a single WWW page. This option assures the most up-to-date data, but it can take considerable time for the SOS server to return all the requested data, particularly on election night. Note: This option is available only for the last election. For prior elections, MDN's internal database will be used regardless of the data-location requested.
MDN: Choosing this option will cause MDN's server to use this local database rather than contacting the SOS server for your data. MDN maintains its own database of election results that is regularly updated from the SOS database. This option is much faster.
