St. Louis City school district survived today's/Thursday's accreditation hearing, but the state's other metropolitan school district wasn't so lucky. Aaron Cummins has the story from Jefferson City--
The Kansas City School District lost its state accreditation despite appeals from the district superintendent and a state senator.
Missouri Commissioner of Education Robert Bartman says that even though the decisions for the two districts are different, both are now on the same timetable for improvement.
Both school districts have until the summer of 2002 to meet state accreditation requirements.
From the capitol, Aaron Cummins.
