Relief for Missouri Farmers in the Works

Farm authorities say Missouri farmers should receive federal relief by the end of October--but that nearly nine-billion dollars is not enough. Kristin Marinec has that story from Jefferson City.

The House Interim Committee on Agriculture met with area farm suppliers and authorities to help farmers hit by the drought.

The director of the Missouri Department of Agriculture says about 50 percent of the state's farmers are in trouble--and things could stay that way for the next two years.

Northeast Representative Gary Wiggins is searching for temporary solutions.
